Primo Central Index

Un accès direct à des millions de références...

Outre les documents physiques des Bibliothèques (livres, cartes, périodiques papier, thèses, mémoires...) et les contenus d'ORBi, PoPuPS, DONum et MatheO, les "Collections ULiège" recensent également des dizaines de millions d'articles scientifiques, e-books, chapitres d'e-books, actes de congrès, entrées d'encyclopédies, rapports, thèses, images... Toutes ces références se trouvent dans un gigantesque index unique, Primo Central Index (PCI) de la société Ex Libris, qui rassemble, dédoublonne et indexe les données fournies directement par les éditeurs et fournisseurs de contenu. La liste de ces éditeurs et fournisseurs, ainsi que les ressources activées pour l'ULiège dans Primo Central, se trouve ci-dessous.

Il n'est bien sûr pas possible de fournir un accès au texte intégral à chacune de ces ressources : cela dépend des abonnements et des contrats que les Bibliothèques de l'ULiège passent avec les éditeurs. Par défaut, lors d'une recherche dans les "Collections ULiège", vous ne voyez apparaître que les références pour lesquelles un texte intégral est disponible à l'ULiège, soit en raison d'une souscription institutionnelle soit parce qu'il s'agit d'une ressource gratuite. Si vous désirez obtenir plus de résultats et donc étendre votre recherche aux références pour lesquelles nous ne disposons pas à l'ULiège d'une version électronique, cochez simplement la case "au-delà des e-collections ULiège" ! C'est alors à des centaines de millions de références que vous élargissez vos recherches... Vous pourrez alors commander des scans ou copies des références qui ne font pas partie des collections directement accessibles à partir de l'ULiège.

La livraison des mises à jour et l'ajout de nouvelles références dans PCI se fait sur base hebdomadaire, mensuelle, trimestrielle ou semestrielle, en fonction des accords conclus entre les éditeurs/fournisseurs de données et la société Ex Libris.
